Viaje a Puerto Rico
Puerto Rico Visit
¡Hoy viajamos a Puerto Rico!
Today we traveled to Puerto Rico! We we were afraid that we may not get in the plane since we didn´t finish our passport yet...but Sra. Rodríguez explained that Puerto is United States territory so we don´t need the passport.
Some of the student were concern "We need our bikinis, we are going to the beach" or "what about my parents Sra. Pérez? Aren´t they coming?".
Sra. Sustache, a former Barbieri teacher, did a huge display in the auditorium for all the Kindergarten classes. She taught us about the coquí (the tiny frog that sings), the island and typical artifacts.
Sra. Sustache and her brother wore the native wear of Puerto Rico. They sang with the traditional instrument ¡el cuatro!
